BSA Supports Adoption of Australia-Singapore Digital Economy Agreement

BSA | The Software Alliance applauds the Australian government for signing the Australia-Singapore Digital Economy Agreement (AU-SG DEA) with the Government of Singapore in August 2020. The agreement, which allows for the free flow of data across borders and prohibits data localization mandates, is an important step in building a global consensus on data. Australia: Joint BSA and AIIA Letter Regarding INSLM Report on Telecommunications and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2018

Joint BSA - Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) Letter to the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security (PJCIS) regarding Independent National Security Legislation Monitor (INSLM) report on the Telecommunications and other Legislation Amendment (Access and Assistance) Act 2018 (TOLA). The AIIA and BSA support the Australian Government’s desire to have more powerful tools to aid in the fight against criminal and terrorist activities.
